About the photographer
Ineke is a passionate 'image maker' and 'floral artist'. She designs large-scale flower arrangements that she captures on film and she makes special portraits. Flowers are a recurring element in her photo series. Nature, the seasons and the colours that go with them inspire her every day. The alternation of portraits and flowers are therefore closely interwoven. In photography she combines these facets and the creative possibilities are endless.
Ineke loves creative photography which is more than just taking a picture. It is about capturing emotions, a composition and an atmosphere with beautiful lighting, where it is important that the person portrayed is completely at ease. She does the shoot together, sometimes with a make-up artist and a stylist, in the studio or outside in nature. With an eye for color, light and composition, Ineke mixes different elements into a harmonious whole and the beauty and transience of flowers and natural objects are lifted to the level of art. The message is mainly that many natural elements are transient and Ineke shows that to the viewer through the lens in, among other things, the flower portraits.
