An ode to fashion

In this series, garments dominate the canvas, becoming almost abstract surfaces. The series is a tribute to fashion, craftsmanship, and identity. Themes often overlooked in the current era of fleeting trends and fast fashion. The fashion industry has gained a bad reputation due to its environmental impact and its reliance on mass-produced clothing from companies like Shein, Zara, and Primark, which reduce clothing to mere accessories of fleeting trends and social conformity. The vital elements of identity and artistry that once defined clothing are ignored in this whirlwind. With my series, I aim to revive the meaning of garments, emphasize their profound role by enlarging them on canvas, and pay tribute to the craftsmanship invested in their creation.
