Collection: Silvina Rodriguez | Socially Engaged Art

Socially Engaged Art is art with a message or call to awareness/action.

Silvina Rodríguez (1989, Montevideo, Uruguay) began her artistic journey in 2010. Her development has been fueled by international experiences and residencies that have profoundly shaped her practice.

Between 2012 and 2016, she lived in New York, where the vibrant art scene had a strong influence on her. At the end of 2016, she returned to Uruguay to reconnect with her roots and explore new artistic directions. Shortly after, she began her first residency in Budapest—a turning point that allowed her to fully focus on her art.

In 2017–2018, Silvina worked in Uruguay and Brazil for film production companies, which enriched her work with new perspectives. She actively participated in residencies in Brazil, continuing to broaden her artistic horizons.

In 2018, she completed a residency in Germany. Currently, she divides her time between Umbria and Amsterdam, where she continues her practice and continues to seek artistic growth and inspiration.
