Collection: Nathalie Tappin | Narrative Art

Narrative Art is art with a message.

Meet Nathalie Ayesha Tappin, a creative talent from Barbados, raised in Rotterdam. Her passion for art was sparked by her mother, who ran a gallery.

Nathalie studied Creative Communication in Rotterdam, briefly attended the Rietveld Academy, and earned her Graphic Design degree from MK24 in Amsterdam. After gaining experience in advertising, she decided to become a full-time artist.

Her work ranges from acrylic and watercolor to unconventional materials like old magazines and worn jeans. She draws inspiration from unexpected sources, with color as a central element in her process.

Iconic faces and powerful texts form the core of her art, which reflects her inner world. Nathalie describes her work as colorful, playful, and authentic, with an intuitive approach that sees herself as an observer in the creative process. Her pieces invite viewers to connect in their own way.
