Maja Boot paints with visible passion and has a strong preference for maritime themes. That is why she can often be found on the Wadden Islands. In this inspiring environment, she often paints plein-air subjects such as the beach, the sea, the dunes and even fish in her characteristic way. In her new work, Maja has discovered the power within herself with more colour and she paints in her outdoor studio between the flower meadows on the Eng in Blaricum. Her current style of painting is the matured result of years of experimenting with colour schemes and contrasts, and the use of unexpected materials.
