Hélène Wiesenhaan is a self-taught photographer based in Haarlem, the Netherlands. Ever since she was 6, Hélène knew she wanted to be a photographer. At sixteen, she bought her first camera and started capturing street life and people.

After her studies she started working as a photographer for one of the largest Dutch publishers VNU/Sanoma Media. Since then she has worked for many well-known Dutch magazines and is a contributor to Getty Images. Her work covers many areas, including reportage, fashion, sports and portraits. She likes to step into the different worlds we live in and tells the stories through photos. In 2013 she exhibited in New York during Photoville as part of the Dutch exhibition "Alive". In 2016 her Paralympic photo work is part of the exhibition 'Emotions' in ADPLOG Turin, Italy. In the same year she published her first book "Capacity, the Dutch Parathletics Team's journey to Rio2016" together with Inge Hondebrink.
