Bets was born in Belgium and moved to Paris at the age of seventeen. Bets had the ambition to become an artistic photographer, just like his mother. When Nicolas Bets moved to Paris in the 90s, he first started working as an assistant for photographers Jean-Daniel Lorieux and Clara Wickrath. During the seven years he worked with these famous photographers, he learned many skills, especially regarding staged fashion photography and the combination of timing, details and humor.
Nicolas Bets has a gift for telling stories through his photographs, probably because he also works as a director for major advertising campaigns. Bets especially loves compositions with people in a film-like setting where he combines the fun factor with aestheticism.
Nowadays, Nicolas Bets is very successfully creating NFTs and working for the fashion industry and in advertising, where he creates spectacular photos of products and brands.
