Maja Boot paints with visible passion and has a strong preference for maritime themes. That is why she can regularly be found on the Wadden Islands. In this inspiring environment, she often paints plein-air subjects such as the beach, the sea, the dunes, and even fish, in her characteristic style. In her new work, Maja has discovered her inner strength with more color, and she paints in her outdoor studio among the flower meadows on the Eng in Blaricum. Her current painting style is the matured result of years of experimenting with color schemes and contrasts, and applying unexpected materials.
