Maja Boot paints with visible passion and has a strong preference for maritime themes, which is why she can often be found on the Frisian Islands. In this inspiring environment, she mostly paints plein-air subjects such as the beach, the sea, the dunes, and even fish, in her characteristic style. In her new work, Maja has discovered an inner strength with more color, and she paints in her outdoor studio among the flower meadows on the Eng in Blaricum. Her current painting style is the matured result of years of experimenting with color schemes and contrasts, and the application of unexpected materials.
