Helene Wiesenhaan

Hélène Wiesenhaan is a self-taught photographer, based in Haarlem, Netherlands. From the age of 6, Hélène knew she wanted to be a photographer. At sixteen, she bought her first camera and started capturing street life and people.
After her studies, she started working as a photographer for one of the Netherlands' largest publishers, VNU/Sanoma Media. Since then, she has worked for many well-known Dutch magazines and contributes to Getty Images. Her work covers many areas, including reports, fashion, sports, and portraits. She enjoys stepping into the different worlds we live in and telling stories through photographs.
In 2013, she exhibited in New York during Photoville as part of the Dutch exhibition "Alive". In 2016, her Paralympic photo work was part of the 'Emotions' exhibition in ADPLOG Turin, Italy. In the same year, she co-authored her first book "Capacity, the Dutch Parathletics Team's journey to Rio2016" with Inge Hondebrink.
